Sailun Tire, a leading domestic tire company, officially announced on July 14, 2025 that the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary Sailun (Shenyang) Tire Co., Ltd. will invest 265 million yuan to acquire 100% of the equity of Bridgestone (Shenyang) Tire Co., Ltd. held by Bridgestone (China) Investment Co., Ltd.
At present, the transaction has been reviewed and approved by Sailun Tire’s board of directors, and the two parties to the transaction formally signed the “Equity Transfer Agreement” on the same day.

Public information shows that Bridgestone (Shenyang) Tire Co., Ltd., the subject of this transaction, is the first tire production factory established by the global tire giant Bridgestone after it officially entered the Chinese market. It was established in March 1996 with a registered capital of US$183 million. It originally had an annual production capacity of 1.7 million load-carrying radial tires, and is currently in a state of suspension.
The company holds under its name the land use rights of 394,900 square meters and the property rights of buildings and structures of 200,700 square meters. The asset conditions are very high.
According to the disclosed financial data, Bridgestone Shenyang’s audited operating income in 2024 was 141 million yuan, with a net profit loss of 480 million yuan; from January to June 2025, the unaudited operating income was 943,200 yuan, with a net profit loss of 564 million yuan; as of June 30, 2025, the company’s unaudited assets totaled 360 million yuan, liabilities totaled 23 million yuan, and owners’ equity was 337 million yuan.
In response to the market’s concern about the large losses in the first half of the year, relevant explanations pointed out that the losses were caused by the accounting treatment after the company transferred monetary funds into the Bridgestone investment capital pool account, and did not affect the actual value of the underlying assets.

As the leading tire export company in China, Sailun Tire has continued to accelerate its pace of globalization in recent years. According to previously disclosed investor relations activity records, Sailun Tire has planned an annual production capacity of 27.65 million all-steel radial tires, 106 million semi-steel radial tires and 447,000 tons of off-highway tires. The capacity utilization rate of each factory has always remained at a high level. The existing production capacity has been unable to fully match the rapidly growing domestic and overseas order demand.
Sailun Tire stated that after the acquisition is completed, Bridgestone Shenyang’s management will be adjusted immediately, the existing land, factory buildings and equipment and other assets of the plant will be fully revitalized, and corresponding production projects will be implemented in conjunction with the company’s development strategy.
Unlike a new factory, which requires a construction cycle of 1-2 years, this acquisition can help the company quickly release production capacity within 6-12 months, directly fill the production capacity gap in the Northeast region, and at the same time radiate the Northeast Asian foreign trade market to better meet the order needs of core markets such as North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia, further enhance the company’s global market competitiveness, and also provide new production capacity support for China’s tire industry to go overseas.
