Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the 2025 Excellent Smart Factory Project, among which 5 tire-related companies were successfully shortlisted for the announcement.
These five companies are Zhongce Rubber Group Co., Ltd.’s high-performance radial tire full-process quality control smart factory, Jining Shenzhou Tire Co., Ltd.’s ultra-high-performance low-carbon tire smart factory, Qingdao Senqilin Tire Co., Ltd.’s high-end tire full-process digital collaborative smart factory, Sailun Group Co., Ltd.’s digital-intelligence collaborative rubber tire smart factory, and Jiangsu Xingda Steel Cord Co., Ltd.’s steel cord green smart factory with global resource optimization.
Zhongce Rubber Group Co., Ltd. is the largest tire manufacturer in China. It was founded in 1958 and is one of the top ten tire companies in the world.
The company has 38,000 brand stores and its products are trusted by users in more than 160 countries around the world.
Zhongce owns many well-known tire brands such as Chaoyang, Good Luck, West Lake, Quannuo, and Yadu.
In the first half of 2025, Zhongce Rubber achieved operating income of 21.855 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 18.02%; net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was approximately 2.322 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 8.56%.
This result shows Zhongce Rubber’s strong competitiveness in the market. Although net profits have fluctuated, the growth in overall revenue shows that its business is still expanding.
Jining Shenzhou Tire Co., Ltd.’s annual output of 12 million high-performance radial passenger car tires was built in Huaqin Industrial Park, Yanzhou District, Jining City, Shandong Province, with a total investment of 3.5 billion yuan and an area of more than 700 acres. It was officially put into production in January 2018.
The factory has introduced the most advanced internal mixers, S-type four-roller steel wire/fiber cord calenders, one-time tire building machines, fully automatic hydraulic vulcanizers and other production equipment from abroad.
Its completion will ensure that Pirelli has the necessary capacity flexibility in high-value areas to respond to the changing Chinese market and meet the needs of the growing electric vehicle market and continued growth of original equipment business in China, Japan and South Korea.
Qingdao Sen Qilin Tire Co., Ltd. is committed to the research, development, production and sales of green, safe, high-quality radial tires and aviation tires.
The company owns four major tire brands: SENTURY, LANDSAIL, DELINTE and GROUNDSPEED.
Currently, two major tire production bases have been built in Qingdao, China and Rayong, Thailand. The Qingdao factory has a designed production capacity of 12 million semi-steel radial tires, and the Rayong factory has a designed production capacity of 10 million semi-steel radial tires.
