Amidst the booming development of cross-border e-commerce, Guangdong, as the province with the largest cross-border e-commerce market in China, is continuously releasing new momentum for foreign trade. Recently, the e-commerce platform SHEIN, closely following the “Guangdong Goods Go Global” spring campaign, leveraged its flexible supply chain advantages and digital innovation capabilities to connect with Guangdong’s distinctive industrial belts, accelerating the penetration of “Made in Guangdong” products into the global market and helping Guangdong become a benchmark for industrial belts going global. [Image 1] It is understood that SHEIN’s “Guangdong Goods Go Global” spring campaign precisely targets two core areas: industrial empowerment and brand globalization. On the industry side, enterprises are deeply integrating with characteristic industrial belts such as clothing and home appliances in the Pearl River Delta and eastern Guangdong to create a model of “flexible supply chain” and promote the digital transformation of the entire production process for manufacturers in the province. On the market side, relying on a sales network covering 160 countries and regions worldwide, and through precise product selection and operational support, they provide global traffic support for “Made in Guangdong” products, helping Guangdong goods create overseas bestsellers and continuously enhance brand awareness in core markets such as Europe and the United States. Data from the Ministry of Commerce shows that in the first half of 2025, my country’s cross-border e-commerce imports and exports reached 1.37 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.3%, demonstrating the significant effectiveness of the “cross-border e-commerce + industrial belt” model. As an active practitioner of this model, Xiyin’s layout is highly aligned with Guangdong’s foreign trade development strategy. Guangdong’s cross-border e-commerce import and export scale has expanded 66 times in nine years, with an average annual growth of 60%, accounting for more than one-third of the national total. The “15th Five-Year Plan” further explicitly proposes to vigorously develop cross-border e-commerce and promote the “cross-border e-commerce + industrial belt” model. Since launching the “500 Cities Industrial Belts Going Global Plan” in 2023, Xiyin has covered nearly 400 city industrial belts across China, including all 21 cities in Guangdong Province, making it a demonstration province for platform-based industrial belts going global. Benefiting from this strategy, Guangdong-based companies going global have experienced explosive growth, with some achieving annual sales exceeding 100 million yuan and doubling their growth rate every year. In terms of market performance, Xiyin’s global influence continues to rise. According to data from consulting firm GlobalData, in 2024, Xiyin surpassed ZARA, H&M, and Uniqlo to become the world’s third-largest fashion retailer, second only to Nike and Adidas. Domestically, the company not only drives the coordinated development of upstream and downstream industries such as trade exports, manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics, but also creates millions of jobs. In terms of warehousing and logistics, Xiyin has invested over 10 billion yuan to accelerate the construction of a smart supply chain network covering cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, including Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhaoqing, and Jiangmen. Foshan, with its location, industry, and transportation advantages, has become a crucial regional warehousing and logistics hub. Addressing the pain points of the traditional garment industry—relying on experience-based forecasting, large-scale production, and high inventory risk—Xiyin, as a leading enterprise in the supply chain, promotes the digital, intelligent, and green transformation of the industry through a three-dimensional approach: digital tools, flexible supply chain models, and technological innovation. The company provides free access to its iterative digital tools to factories across the supply chain, enabling precise and transparent information flow across the entire chain of order placement, development, production, warehousing, and logistics in the fragmented traditional garment industry. Its innovative flexible supply chain model teaches traditional factories to adopt “small-batch, quick-response” and “production based on sales” principles, guiding production through real market demand and fundamentally solving the high inventory problem. Meanwhile, Xiyin continues to tackle cutting-edge innovations such as lean sewing tools, digital cold transfer printing technology for denim, and recycled polyester technology, and has launched supplier energy efficiency improvement and scientific carbon reduction projects to continuously enhance the industry’s “new content” and “green content.” Chen Di (pseudonym), a garment factory owner in the Guangzhou Panyu International Fashion Textile and Apparel Industrial Cluster, is a beneficiary of this transformation. Previously, his factory faced development difficulties due to unstable orders and high inventory pressure. After becoming a Xiyin supplier, he was able to access a digital system and monitor the entire supply chain in real time, including best-selling styles, product quality, and consumer reviews. With the help of Xiyin’s lean tools, the factory combined the two complex sequin sewing processes into one, increasing production efficiency by 40%. Previously niche and high-barrier products have won over global consumers through fashionable expression. Today, Chen Di’s factory has expanded from a few hundred square meters to 9,000 square meters, and orders are expected to grow steadily by 2025, making him a vivid example of the digital transformation of “Lingnan clothing” from Guangdong. In the future, Xiyin will continue to deepen its collaborative cooperation with Guangdong’s industrial clusters, using technological innovation and business model innovation as dual engines to further promote the brand upgrading and value enhancement of Guangdong products in the global market. This will inject stronger momentum into Guangdong’s efforts to cultivate new drivers of foreign trade and build a demonstration province for cross-border e-commerce, allowing the connotation of “Guangdong products going global” to be continuously enriched and extended in the digital age.
