On today’s international trade stage, emerging markets are gradually becoming a shining focus. At the International Trade Compliance Development Forum held at the Canton Fair Complex on October 17th, numerous insights revealed new trends and opportunities in China’s foreign trade development.
Zhang Fa, Director of the Marketing Center of the Digital Finance Department/Inclusive Finance Department of China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation, introduced at the forum that, from a macro perspective, emerging markets such as ASEAN, Latin America, Central Asia, and Africa have further increased their share of my country’s exports, exceeding 50%. Moreover, the indices of most Southeast Asian and South Asian countries are in the low-to-medium risk range, fully demonstrating the continuous opportunities inherent in emerging markets against the backdrop of the restructuring of the international trade landscape.
It is worth mentioning that, as one of the theme forums of the 138th Canton Fair, this International Trade Compliance Development Forum is of great significance, aiming to help enterprises improve their compliance level in trade, effectively control trade risks, and systematically enhance their response capabilities.

The report provides an in-depth analysis of the credit risk levels faced by foreign trade enterprises and industry exchanges in different countries. Zhang Fa stated that in terms of new forms of foreign trade, digital transformation has become an important trend in global trade. my country’s cross-border e-commerce, as a new driving force for foreign trade and a new engine for high-quality development, has achieved double-digit growth for many consecutive years. The cross-border e-commerce markets in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and South America have enormous potential. The widespread application of digital technologies such as artificial intelligence has helped enterprises overcome development bottlenecks such as language barriers, low operational efficiency, and information asymmetry, empowering SMEs to expand into global markets. At the same time, my country will also promote the establishment of a new batch of cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zones to support cross-border e-commerce and overseas warehouses, and expand intermediate goods trade and green trade. Regarding trade opportunities, countries worldwide are actively launching economic stimulus and acceleration plans, leading to a continuous rise in demand for infrastructure construction, the digital economy, and green energy. Under these circumstances, my country is vigorously developing new types of productive forces, driving development through innovation, and clearly defining a green and digitalized direction for international trade development, thereby better meeting the demands of the global market. Currently, relying on its advantages in integrated industrial and supply chains, my country’s export products are continuously improving in technological content. From small items like coffee machines and sweeping robots to large items like electric vehicles and industrial robots, these products have gained widespread international recognition. From the perspective of overseas market structure, emerging markets are seeing a surge in business opportunities. Imports of Chinese products in several sectors of emerging markets are growing rapidly, with machinery, electricity, and transportation equipment showing particularly strong growth. In addition to the report release, representatives from the Export-Import Bank of China Guangdong Branch, Beijing Huijin Tianlu Risk Management Technology Co., Ltd., Beijing Yingke (Guangzhou) Law Firm, Ernst & Young (China) Enterprise Consulting Co., Ltd., and Agricultural Bank of China Guangzhou Branch delivered keynote speeches at the forum.
