June 2026, which was originally the traditional off-season for sales in the construction machinery industry, has shown a rare trend of high popularity this year, with the entire industry achieving a higher growth rate than expected.
According to visits to a number of domestic construction machinery manufacturing bases, the production lines of all enterprises are currently at full capacity. The electric construction machinery category is even in short supply, with “one machine hard to find”. Many customers’ order delivery cycles have been significantly longer than in previous years.

The latest released production and sales data also confirms the high prosperity of the industry: from January to May 2026, domestic new energy construction machinery sales maintained a rapid growth trend. The cumulative sales of electric loaders alone reached 20,819 units, a year-on-year increase of 90.9%. Electric transformation has become the core engine driving the growth of the domestic construction machinery industry.
With the implementation of dual-carbon policies in various countries around the world, electric construction machinery with zero emissions, low noise, and lower operation and maintenance costs is increasingly favored by overseas markets, and the export side is simultaneously showing a trend of rising popularity across the board.
Customs statistics show that from January to May 2026, my country’s total import and export of construction machinery reached US$28.911 billion, a year-on-year increase of 19.5%; of which the export value was US$27.902 billion, a year-on-year increase of 20.8%, setting a record high in export volume during the same period.

Currently, the production capacity of domestic leading construction machinery companies such as Sany, XCMG, Zoomlion, Liugong, Sunward Intelligent, and Zhejiang Dingli continues to be at full capacity. In order to cope with the continued increase in orders at home and abroad, many companies have added exclusive production lines for electric products to optimize supply chain scheduling efficiency.
The rhythm of export logistics has also undergone significant changes, from the previous monthly concentrated shipments to a year-round normal shipping rhythm. Many orders for popular electric categories have been scheduled until the fourth quarter of 2026.
Industry insiders pointed out that as the advantages of domestic construction machinery in electrification technology continue to highlight, the subsequent export scale is expected to continue to maintain a growth trend, and the global market share of domestic construction machinery will also further increase.
