He also revealed that Linglong Tire will have a layout of 12 global production and manufacturing bases by 2030.
When asked what new requirements the development of new energy vehicles has put on tires, Feng Baochun pointed out that the development of new energy vehicles in China has injected great vitality into the development of tires.
Due to the special usage environment and conditions of new energy vehicles, Linglong Tire has made many innovations and breakthroughs in technology.
The first is the silent and noise reduction technology system, which allows the vehicle to achieve ultra-low noise when driving, making it quieter and more comfortable; the second is the energy-saving and highly elastic rubber formula to reduce energy consumption.
When talking about how the tire industry can better collaborate to go overseas, Feng Baochun said that overseas supply chain and internationalization have been very hot topics in the entire car and tire circles in recent years. Linglong Tire’s internationalization strategy was not proposed in the near future, but globalization was proposed around 2010.
Linglong Tire has implemented a strategic layout of 7 domestic factories and 5 overseas factories in China, and will achieve a layout of 12 global production and manufacturing bases by 2030.
At present, 5 plants have been built in China, and factories in Thailand and Serbia have been built overseas, and the global layout will be accelerated.
In addition, Linglong Tire will work with first-class domestic OEMs to expand its supply chain overseas to form a synergy in the industry chain.
Regarding how to meet the compliance and differentiation needs of the global market during the process of going overseas, Feng Baochun emphasized that in the process of globalization, sustainable development is a must-answer for enterprises.
Linglong Tire conducts full life cycle carbon management at the production end, promotes the application of recyclable and renewable materials, and increases the proportion of new energy use. The goal is to achieve carbon peak in 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality in 2050.
As for the commercial vehicle industry’s shift to ecological competition centered on scene needs, Feng Baochun said that the fuel consumption of commercial vehicles is higher than that of passenger cars. Previously, electric commercial vehicles were limited by battery energy and were not enough to support logistics with thousands of kilometers of mileage. However, with the improvement and breakthrough of battery technology, electric trucks are developing very fast, especially with the current increase in oil prices. This year, everyone is more optimistic about the development of electric trucks.
In terms of tire technology for electric trucks, Linglong Tire achieves strong drive and strong support through new materials, exclusive patterns and structures, and ultra-high-strength skeleton materials.
In addition, some exclusive tire pattern designs and formulas are created for different scenarios to suit different usage scenarios.
