As a new round of price increases in the domestic tire industry continues to ferment, the leading company Sailun Tire has once again raised prices.
On May 13, Sailun Tire confirmed on the interactive platform that starting from May 11, the company will increase the overall price of off-highway tires in the domestic market by 7% – 9%.
The company stated that it will determine the time and extent of adjusting product prices on a daily basis based on factors such as the comprehensive production costs of related products and market demand.

It is reported that this round of price increases in the tire industry began in March 2026.
According to public reports, in late March, Duangqian Tire was the first to announce a 2% price increase for its entire range of products starting from March 20.
On April 14, Bridgestone (China) announced that the price of passenger tires would increase by 3% – 5% starting from May 1.
On April 15, domestic mainstream brands such as Zhongce Rubber, Sailun Tire, and Wanli Tire followed suit.
Taken together, industry price adjustments are mainly due to rising raw material prices.
Zhuochuang Information analyst Guo Juan previously analyzed that raw materials account for more than 70% of tire production costs, of which the three core raw materials of natural rubber, synthetic rubber, and carbon black account for more than 60%. Their price fluctuations directly determine the trend of tire costs.
In 2026, especially since March, the prices of tire core raw materials have simultaneously entered an upward channel, superimposed on the rise in steel cord, additives and other auxiliary materials, as well as energy and logistics costs, jointly pushing up tire production costs.

In this regard, institutions generally believe that raw material price fluctuations have brought certain cost pressures to the tire industry, but it will not change the core logic of the domestic tire industry’s performance growth driven by volume increases.
Orient Securities stated in a research report that in the previous cost fluctuation cycle, most tire companies have effectively alleviated part of the cost pressure through product price increases and other measures, and the net profit attributable to the parent company basically showed the same growth trend as the company’s output for the year.
“The company will face greater pressure on raw material costs in the short term, but its global share is expected to increase in the medium term.” Analysts from Huatai Securities said that leading tire companies with ample overseas production capacity are expected to seize opportunities in the crisis and accelerate their global share expansion.
It is understood that before this, Sailun Tire issued a tire price adjustment notice on the 15th of last month, which showed that due to the recent changes in the international situation and market environment, the prices of various raw materials have continued to rise, and the company’s manufacturing costs have continued to rise.
In order to ensure that more valuable products and services are provided to the majority of users, based on changes in production and manufacturing costs, the company has decided to increase the price of TBR (truck and bus tires) products by 3% – 5% starting from May 1, 2026.
Sailun Tire was established in 2002 and is a well-known private tire company in Qingdao. It has three full series product systems: car tires, truck tires and off-highway tires.
In 2025, the company will achieve operating income of 36.792 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.69%, and net profit attributable to the parent company of 3.522 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 13.30%.
Against the background of increasingly fierce competition in the tire industry and volatile raw material prices, Sailun Tire’s price adjustment and future development trend deserve continued attention.
