Sailun Group’s MSCI ESG rating is A, and its Blackhawk Liquid Gold tires shine on the international stage.

Recently, Sailun Group achieved a significant upgrade in its MSCI ESG rating, rising from "BB" to "A"—making it the first enterprise in China's tire industry to earn this distinction. Its "Blackhawk Liquid Gold" tires are leading the high-end market and contributing to "dual carbon" goals, driven by four exclusive advantages and multiple environmental benefits.

In September 2025, Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI), a leading international index provider, announced its latest ESG rating results. Sailun Group achieved a leap from BB to A rating, becoming the first company in China’s tire industry to receive this honor, thanks to its outstanding practices in environmental, social, and governance (ESG). MSCI ESG rating, a core sustainability assessment system in the international capital market, comprehensively considers a company’s long-term value from multiple dimensions, including environmental management, product safety, employee rights, and corporate governance. Its rating results are widely used by global institutional investors as a basis for investment decisions. Sailun Group’s rating leap signifies that its sustainable development capabilities have gained high recognition from the international capital market, setting a new benchmark for the Chinese tire industry. Since its establishment, Sailun Group has consistently integrated the concept of sustainable development into its entire business operations. In terms of technological innovation, the Group’s independently developed liquid gold technology has solved the industry’s “devil’s triangle” problem, promoting the simultaneous upgrading of tire performance and environmental attributes. In the field of intelligent manufacturing, relying on the world’s first rubber industry internet platform, Rubber Chain Cloud, it has achieved energy conservation and consumption reduction throughout the entire production chain, reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions per unit product. Regarding environmental management, the Group has proposed the “eco+” sustainable development strategy, clearly defining the goal of reducing carbon emissions per unit product by 30% and achieving a 40% share of sustainable materials by 2030. It has previously obtained an Eco Vadis Silver rating and a CDP B rating in climate change and water security. As an important carrier of the Group’s sustainable development achievements, its flagship brand, Blackhawk Tires, has launched the Blackhawk Liquid Gold Tire, which deeply integrates technological innovation and environmental protection concepts, becoming a typical representative of the Group’s implementation of the ESG strategy. As a core brand of Sailun Group focusing on the high-end market, Blackhawk Tires, relying on the Group’s exclusive liquid gold technology, has created the Blackhawk Liquid Gold Tire series, which, with its four exclusive advantages, has become a green benchmark product in the high-end tire market. The core competitiveness of this tire series stems from Sailun’s pioneering chemical rubber mixing process—by fully mixing rubber with nano-grade silica filler in a continuous liquid environment, the filler is uniformly dispersed, fundamentally breaking the limitation of traditional tires where “performance is at odds,” bringing a comprehensive upgrade experience. Firstly, exclusive performance breakthroughs, breaking the “devil’s triangle.” The Black Hawk Liquid Gold Tire simultaneously improves three core indicators: rolling resistance, wet grip, and wear resistance. Certified by EU label regulations, its rolling resistance and wet grip both reach the highest A-level standard, and its wear resistance is 20% higher than traditional tires. Passenger car tires can last for over 150,000 kilometers, and truck tires for over 400,000 kilometers. Secondly, exclusive adaptability advantages, covering diverse scenarios. Targeting the needs of different vehicle types such as new energy vehicles, sports sedans, and urban SUVs, products are subdivided into the HE61 new energy series, the HU71 ultra-high performance series, and the HV61/HV71 urban driving series. For example, the HE61 series can handle the instantaneous high torque characteristics of electric vehicles, reducing noise by 2dB and increasing range by 15%.

Thirdly, exclusive craftsmanship ensures more reliable quality. Utilizing high-precision laser-engraved sidewall technology and a double-layer tire structure, it enhances both tire texture and impact resistance. Having undergone rigorous testing by TÜV MARK in Germany, its overall performance surpasses that of leading international brands. Fourthly, exclusive after-sales guarantee provides greater peace of mind. Enjoy a 5-year warranty and 1-year extended warranty replacement service for all Sailun Group Liquid Gold products. Free replacement is available for any bulges or tire blowouts within one year, providing comprehensive protection for users. The environmental benefits of Blackhawk Liquid Gold tires stem from the multiple environmental advantages brought by Sailun Group’s Liquid Gold technology. This technology, developed over more than a decade by a team led by Chief Scientist Wang Mengjiao of the National Rubber Industry Research Center, is not only a milestone in industry technological innovation but also a key force driving the green transformation of the tire industry. From a material environmental perspective, Liquid Gold technology uses white carbon black as the main filler, replacing traditional carbon black. Its wear particles do not pollute soil or water sources, reducing the generation of “black pollution” during tire use and significantly reducing the impact on the ecological environment compared to traditional tires. From an energy consumption and carbon emission perspective, the technology significantly reduces tire rolling resistance, with PCR tires achieving a rolling resistance coefficient as low as 6.5 N/kN and TBR tires as low as 3.5 N/kN. Taking passenger cars as an example, tires equipped with this technology can save 810 liters of fuel and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 2 tons after 150,000 kilometers. If all 250 million passenger car tires sold in China in 2020 adopted this technology, it could save 74.7 billion liters of fuel and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 187 million tons. From a life-cycle perspective, technology is driving the greening of the entire tire manufacturing process, from raw material selection and production to recycling. Sailun Group has launched PCR tires with 75% sustainable material content and TBR tires with 80% sustainable materials, further reducing the environmental footprint of its products throughout their lifecycle. Now, with the widespread adoption of the Black Hawk Liquid Gold tire, the environmental benefits of liquid gold technology are gradually benefiting users worldwide, providing a Chinese solution for achieving global carbon neutrality goals and the sustainable development of the rubber tire industry.
