Start from Songjiang and go straight to the world.
On March 31, a batch of cross-border e-commerce parcels weighing 13 tons and worth 857,000 yuan were successfully inspected and released at the front cargo station of Songjiang Comprehensive Bonded Area under the supervision of Songjiang Customs, a subsidiary of Shanghai Customs, and were successfully shipped to Pudong International Airport for installation and shipment.
The smooth customs clearance of this order also marks that since the Songjiang Comprehensive Bonded Zone’s front cargo station was officially put into operation on November 13, 2025, the cumulative export of cross-border e-commerce packages has exceeded 1.02 million pieces, with a value of 101 million yuan.

As a “satellite station” established by the airport cargo station in the Comprehensive Bonded Zone and other areas, the front cargo station in Songjiang Comprehensive Bonded Zone is accelerating the upgrade from bulk cargo shipping to charter operations based on normal operation.
By realizing efficient synergy between regional air logistics functions and bonded warehousing functions, this international logistics channel at your doorstep is injecting more convenience and confidence into Songjiang District enterprises’ “going overseas”.
“Now, we can handle customs inspection and release, airport security inspection, airline assembly and boarding at our doorstep in a ‘one-stop’ way.” Zhang Liang, head of customs affairs at Shanghai Hongshan International Logistics Co., Ltd. said with emotion, “Goods shipments are safer and more convenient, and logistics information feedback is more timely and smarter. Our logistics time has been shortened by 30%, operating costs have been reduced overall, and market competitiveness has been further improved.”

Behind the outstanding results is the efficient coordination of supervision and services.
In response to the characteristics of cross-border e-commerce exports, such as concentrated time periods, large order quantities, and miscellaneous categories, Songjiang Customs has launched facilitation measures such as “online reservations” and “on-site inspections” to continue to improve supervision accuracy and customs clearance efficiency.
At the same time, by strengthening the four-way linkage with cargo terminal operators, airports, and logistics companies, we can dynamically track cargo volume trends and flight plans to achieve rapid response and precise services, thus laying a solid guarantee for the expansion and efficiency of front-end cargo terminals.
Yin Wenchao, Deputy Commissioner of Songjiang Customs, said that in the next step, Songjiang Customs will closely follow the construction of smart customs and the deployment of the “Smart Customs Powerful Nation” action, empower with digital intelligence, and explore the use of AI intelligent identification and automatic data comparison technology to promote visual traceability of goods in transit and real-time risk warning.
At the same time, we will continue to optimize the “adjustment supervision” measures and embed non-intrusive inspection links into the company’s operating procedures to achieve effective supervision without interrupting operations or increasing costs, allowing companies to go “overseas” more steadily and further.
The successful operation of the front cargo station in Songjiang Comprehensive Bonded Zone not only brings tangible benefits to cross-border e-commerce companies, but also builds a more convenient platform for Chinese products to go global.
As it continues to upgrade and develop, I believe more Chinese products will pass through it and enter the global market at a faster speed and with higher efficiency, further enhancing the competitiveness of Chinese products in the international market.
