“Turn on the lights in the living room for me”, “Adjust to sleep mode”, “Detect the old man’s fall and notify the emergency contact”… These scenes that once appeared in science fiction movies are accelerating into the daily lives of Hunan people.
On June 26, the “2026 Smart Home and Prefabricated Decoration Industry Development Exchange Conference” was held at the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center.
More than 200 industry representatives, experts and scholars gathered together to discuss a topic closely related to every Hunan family: When smart homes meet prefabricated decoration, how will the future “good houses” change our lives?
This exchange meeting was jointly sponsored by the Hunan Interior Decoration Association, the Hunan Smart Home Industry Association, and the Hunan Furniture Industry Association, and was co-organized by a number of local market entities in the home furnishing and technology fields.
At the meeting, the relevant person in charge of the Hunan Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development systematically introduced the phased results Hunan has achieved in promoting the smart home and prefabricated decoration industry.
The relevant person in charge pointed out that the next stage will focus on four aspects: anchoring policy guidance and building a long-term development mechanism; deepening demonstration and empowerment to activate industrial market momentum; focusing on chain cultivation and improving the entire chain development ecology; focusing on innovation-driven development and consolidating core competitiveness.
The relevant person in charge of the Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology also said that to achieve the deep integration of smart homes and prefabricated decoration, we must rely on multi-dimensional collaborative advancement such as standard setting, innovation drive, ecological construction, policy guidance and market supervision, which points out the practical path for high-quality development of the industry.
In the theme sharing session, a number of industry experts and corporate leaders gave wonderful speeches covering the entire industry chain: the content covered the construction of smart home delivery systems, refined design of good house layouts, integrated indoor prefabricated decoration solutions, global development trends of home intelligence, AI technology landing smart home scenarios, smart aging-friendly home renovation and other dimensions. It presented a feast of ideas to the participants and provided valuable practical references and new ideas for development.
In the subsequent sofa dialogue session, many guests from home furnishing companies, design institutions, and industry associations conducted in-depth exchanges on the theme of “Breaking Boundaries—The Integration of Smart Homes and Prefabricated Decoration”.
The guests agreed that integrated development is inseparable from the forward-looking guidance of the competent authorities, the collaborative linkage of industry associations, and the active participation of market entities. Only through the joint efforts of the three parties can we break through the blocking points of the smart home floor-mounted assembly decoration scene, lower the threshold for consumers to obtain smart home experience, and truly realize the adaptation and pre-assembly of the smart home system during the decoration process, eliminating the additional cost of subsequent modifications for owners.
At the exchange meeting, Hunan Interior Decoration Association, Hunan Smart Home Industry Association, and Hunan Furniture Industry Association jointly signed a cooperation agreement on the “Integrated Ecological Development of Smart Home and Prefabricated Decoration”. This move marks Hunan’s substantial step in promoting cross-border integration of the two major industries and building a collaborative development ecosystem.
With the in-depth integration of smart homes and prefabricated decoration, ordinary families in Hunan are expected to enjoy a smarter, more worry-free and more secure home experience in the future, allowing the beautiful vision of “good houses” to accelerate into reality.
