On October 10, the Organizing Committee of the Knife Expo held a press conference in the Yangjiang Press Hall to introduce the 24th China (Yangjiang) International Hardware Knives and Scissors Expo.
This Knife Expo is co-sponsored by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Light Industrial Crafts, China Hardware Products Association, and Yangjiang Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export, and is co-organized by the Yangjiang Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export and Yangjiang Hardware Knives and Scissors Industry Association. It will be held at the Yangjiang International Convention and Exhibition Center from October 21st to 23rd.
The exhibition area is nearly 20,000 square meters, with four exhibition halls and 550 booths.
In accordance with the requirements for international, professional and market-oriented exhibitions, the exhibition adopts the form of “exhibition + conference + competition + trade”, so that the exhibition not only includes exhibitions, but also professional conferences, seminars, and promotions, providing Chinese and foreign merchants with an internationally influential platform for negotiation, exchange and cooperation.
The Knife Expo is the “golden sign” of Yangjiang’s hardware knife and scissors industry. It is known as the “No. 1 exhibition in China’s hardware knife and scissors industry” and has been held for 23 consecutive years.
This year’s Knife Expo has many highlights.
Highlight 1: The simple exhibition concept focuses on the core values of participation in all aspects.
This year’s Knife Expo put forward the exhibition concept of “giving participants something to look forward to and giving viewers something to watch”.
The first is to enhance industry participation with a more complete industrial chain display, which is divided into five exhibition areas including raw materials and accessories area, accessories area, finished product area, brand area and intelligent machinery area, to achieve a full ecological display of the industry chain and promote the docking of the entire supply chain.
The second is to ensure that enterprises benefit from a more comprehensive brand aggregation. In addition to domestic well-known brand enterprises, there are also enterprises from outside the province and Japanese enterprises competing on the same stage to effectively realize supply and procurement docking.
The third is to enhance the audience’s sense of surprise with a more comprehensive display, set up a knife and scissors cultural exhibition to display unique knives from various places, and also carry out intelligent robot dance interaction and other display performances.
Highlight 2: The pragmatic hosting style enhances the exhibition expansion function in all aspects.
The organizing committee adheres to the principle of frugality in organizing the exhibition, simplifying reception and delivery, reducing non-essential expenses. At the same time, it focuses on enriching the connotation of the exhibition and improving its effectiveness, and comprehensively enhances the functions and effects of the exhibition.
Highlight 3: Solid public services and all elements ensure the wonderful presentation of the exhibition.
Yangjiang City is making every effort to ensure the success of this Knife Expo by strengthening policy support and service guarantees.
Relevant policies have been introduced to provide a strong foundation for the Knife Expo. Relevant departments in 26 cities have concentrated manpower and resources to carry out various guarantee work. Each department also relies on the Knife Expo to carry out relevant activities and expand the functions of the exhibition.
Highlight 4: Solid mutual complementation to promote high-quality development of the industry in all fields.
The Knife Expo and the development of Yangjiang hardware knife and scissors industry complement each other.
It has expanded the industrial chain, attracted many companies to settle down, and formed a complete industrial chain; it has developed new productivity in the industry, demonstrated industry innovation results, and led the direction of high-quality development; it has amplified the branding effect and enhanced the influence of the Yangjiang Hardware Knife and Scissors brand; it has broadened the development space and promoted the diversification of the industrial market and the digitization of sales.
In 2024, the exports of Yangjiang’s hardware knife and scissors industry to the “Belt and Road” co-building countries and RCEP member countries will increase by 2.3% and 8.5% respectively. Domestic e-commerce sales will reach 9.93 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.6%; the cross-border e-commerce platform transaction volume will reach 2.93 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.9%.
