Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology officially announced the list of green factories for 2025. A total of 2,038 companies across the country were selected for the new batch of green manufacturing lists.
In this national-level “green matrix”, the tire industry performed well, with a total of 9 tire manufacturing companies successfully listed, marking a solid step forward for my country’s tire manufacturing industry on the road to green transformation and high-quality development.

The top nine are on the list, and the industry’s green transformation is accelerating.
In the list announced this time, the number of selected companies in the tire industry reached 9, covering foreign brand factories in China, local industry leaders and key companies in subdivisions, showing the vigorous vitality of green upgrading of the entire industry chain.
The nine selected tire companies are: Zhongce Rubber (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., Hebei Wanda Tire Co., Ltd., Michelin Shenyang Tire Co., Ltd., Sailun (Dongying) Tire Co., Ltd., Shuangqian Group (Xinjiang) Kunlun Tire Co., Ltd., Kumho Tire (Changchun) Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Top Tire Co., Ltd., Shandong Hongsheng Rubber Technology Co., Ltd., and Dalian Tire Co., Ltd.

There are not only the continued efforts of Shandong, a traditional tire manufacturing province, but also green breakthroughs in western regions such as Xinjiang, showing that the green manufacturing concept has been deeply penetrated across the country.
Leading the lead, Chinese and foreign companies jointly draw a “green picture.”
The list of selected companies shows that foreign capital and local companies keep pace with each other.
The inclusion of Michelin Shenyang Tire Co., Ltd. and Kumho Tire (Changchun) Co., Ltd. demonstrates the achievements of international tire giants in deeply cultivating green manufacturing in China. By introducing the world’s advanced environmental protection technology and energy efficiency management system, they have become the benchmark for green development in the industry.
At the same time, leading local companies performed even more strongly.
As a leader in the domestic tire industry, the selection of Zhongce Rubber (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. further confirms the leading advantages of leading companies in digital transformation and green and low-carbon manufacturing.
The inclusion of Sailun (Dongying) Tire Co., Ltd. and Shuangqian Group (Xinjiang) Kunlun Tire Co., Ltd. reflects the determination of established state-owned enterprises and private leaders in promoting the transformation of traditional manufacturing into green and intelligent manufacturing.
In addition, the successful selection of companies such as Hebei Wanda Tire, Jiangsu Top Tire, Shandong Hongsheng Rubber and Dalian Tire also reflects that medium-sized tire companies are actively breaking the traditional image of high energy consumption and reshaping industry competitiveness through technological transformation, energy conservation and emission reduction.

The industrial logic behind “green factories”.
The “Green Factory” selection is organized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and aims to select factories that have achieved “intensive land use, harmless raw materials, clean production, waste recycling, and low-carbon energy”. It is a national honor for the green transformation of the manufacturing industry.
For the tire industry, the collective selection of 9 companies has far-reaching industry significance.
For a long time, the tire industry has been regarded as a traditional industry with high energy consumption and high pollution.
In recent years, driven by the “double carbon” goal, the entire industry chain, from raw material procurement to production processes to waste tire recycling, is undergoing a profound green change.
The increase in companies on the list means that green manufacturing is no longer an “elective course” for a few leading companies, but has gradually become a “required course” for high-quality development of the industry.
With the continuous improvement of the green manufacturing system, these nine “national green factories” will become new benchmarks in the industry, leading the Chinese tire industry to use “green, low-carbon and efficient” as its business card in global competition and accelerate its climb to the high end of the value chain.
