The smart mattress track is heating up: new opportunities for the intelligent transformation of soft furniture

Recently, the smart home sector has seen renewed momentum, with leading brands such as Kuka Home and DeRUCCI launching new smart mattress products. Driven by rising consumer health awareness, technological innovation, and supportive policies, the smart mattress market holds broad growth prospects, though it also faces challenges such as product homogenization.

The smart track in the home furnishing industry is heating up again. Leading brands such as Gujia Home Furnishing, Ayris, Goodnight Home, and Mousse have released new smart mattress products to seize market opportunities with technological upgrades and ecological layout.

On March 23, Gujia Home Furnishing released the Yueying M8 Plus smart mattress, which integrates multiple AI adaptive technologies such as wave pressure relief and non-sensory snoring reduction to provide customized support for different sleep scenarios.
Mousse has launched a new smart bed series equipped with StarLight technology, which realizes non-sensory linkage with Hongmeng ecological home appliances and adds a multi-device collaborative adjustment function based on sleep monitoring.
In addition, companies such as Goodnight Home Furnishing and Ayris have also launched smart mattresses.

Public data shows that the smart mattress industry is maintaining rapid growth. The market size will exceed 18 billion yuan in 2025, and the proportion of high-end products continues to increase.
Industry experts said that smart mattresses and sofas have become the core track for the upholstered furniture industry to break through the growth bottleneck, and are also the key to the intelligent transformation of upholstered furniture.
In the future, smart mattresses will continue to deepen around the “hardware + data + service” model, and it is expected that the industry will further expand in 2026.

With the full penetration of digital life, consumers’ demand for healthy sleep is becoming increasingly urgent.
However, the “2026 Xilinmen China Sleep Index Report” shows that consumers’ sleep quality is constantly declining.
In 2024, China’s sleep index reached a peak of 68.74 points, and fell back to 63.15 points in 2025.
Among them, the sleep quality score dropped to 60.14, the lowest value since 2021.
Against this background, many companies have accelerated their deployment of smart mattresses to provide consumers with better sleep quality.

In the technological exploration of smart mattresses, companies have different priorities.
Different from Gujia Home’s focus on AI adaptive comfort experience, AIRIS starts from the regulation of sleep microenvironment; Mousse promotes intelligent development through the technological closed loop of “hardware + data + service”; Goodnight Home’s Tisipu AI mattress is based on the needs of public consumption.

The person in charge of AIRIS said that the company has been implementing the concept of “healthy deep sleep” for many years and focuses on how to truly improve the duration of deep sleep.
The MESHTECH sleep microenvironment control system was applied to the Apollo mattress. Through a series of experiments, it was verified that microenvironment optimization can indeed have a positive impact on the speed of falling asleep, the proportion of deep sleep and the continuity of sleep, and this set of capabilities has been truly implemented into the product.

Mousse has launched the new product ProH – DESIGN of the Harmony Smart Selection Mousse Smart Bed, which relies on the digital base of StarLight technology to realize non-inductive linkage with Hongmeng ecological home appliances such as lights, curtains, air conditioners, etc., solving the problem of “device islands” in smart homes.
Through the differentiated development path of “AI + ecology”, Mousse promotes the deep integration of smart mattresses and whole-house intelligence.

Tisipu AI mattress, a subsidiary of Goodnight Home, has entered the smart mattress track with high adaptability and high cost performance, and launched a variety of smart mattress products.
Xiong Honglong, general manager of Tisipu AI mattress, said that Tisipu’s operating team comes from cross-border fields such as home appliances and the Internet. The R&D system unites universities and experts in the spinal health field to participate in research and provide professional advice, so that the product from the underlying structure is an Internet-based, AI-driven, sustainable learning-optimized smart product, rather than a “modified version” of a traditional mattress with electronic functions.

Behind the rise of the smart mattress track is the continued improvement of consumers’ health awareness.
Consumers’ attention to sleep quality, material safety and smart technology has increased significantly.
The “Sleep Index Report” shows that Chinese people have had “difficulty” sleeping in the past year, with significant phenomena such as ineffective sleep and mobile phones robbing sleep.
70.5% of people feel that they have slept enough for the standard 6-8 hours, but only 12.3% of people feel fully rested after waking up, and more than 40% of adults said they “have not regained their energy at all.”

Currently, the upholstered furniture industry is transforming from traditional manufacturing to intelligent manufacturing.
Technological innovation has provided strong support for the rapid development of smart mattresses.
The rapid development of technologies such as the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, and sensors has promoted the continuous upgrading of smart mattress functions in sleep monitoring, adaptive adjustment, etc., reduced technology research and development and production costs, and made the popularization of smart mattresses possible.

In September 2025, the State Administration for Market Regulation (National Standards Committee) approved the release of the national standard for “Smart Mattress”, which was implemented on March 1 this year. The standard sets a unified standard for the intelligence, functionality, and safety of smart mattress products.

Despite its promising prospects, the smart mattress industry still faces many challenges.
Product homogeneity is a common problem in smart mattresses.
Due to the lack of core technology, some small and medium-sized enterprises blindly follow the trend and launch smart mattress products. The so-called “intelligence” mainly focuses on basic monitoring functions and lacks differentiated competitiveness.

However, from the perspective of industry development, with the improvement of standards and the iteration of technology, the smart mattress market still has long-term development potential and market value in the future.
The person in charge of AIRIS said that in the future, smart mattresses will gradually move from “single product competition” to “sleep system and sleep scene” competition.
The mattress is no longer just an independent product, but a part of the entire sleeping environment, with light, air, temperature, and sound all involved.
Intelligence will definitely move from “connection ability” to “control ability”, dynamically adjusting the environment according to the state of the human body, thereby truly improving sleep quality.
