The 11th China Changyuan International Hoisting Equipment Expo and Trade Fair opened grandly on April 16 in Changyuan, Henan, known as the “Capital of Hoisting Machinery”.
This event attracted more than 330 exhibitors from home and abroad, as well as many professional institutions, universities and colleges, experts and scholars. Everyone gathered together to discuss new paths for the transformation and upgrading of the lifting equipment industry, and for improving quality and efficiency.

The opening ceremony of the 11th China Changyuan International Hoisting Equipment Expo

Since it was first held in 2014, Changyuan International Hoisting Equipment Expo has become an important window and platform to promote the opening up of the lifting equipment industry and promote exchanges and cooperation. It has the reputation of “the national lifting industry benchmark exhibition” in the industry.
With the theme of “Leading the World with Digital Intelligence, Winning with Quality, Connecting the World”, this expo is guided by the China Heavy Machinery Industry Association, hosted by the Changyuan Hoisting Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association, and co-organized by 6 units including Beijing Hoisting and Transportation Machinery Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd.
The exhibition scale exceeds 38,000 square meters, with three major exhibition areas: the indoor exhibition area, the tent exhibition area, and the outdoor ultra-high and over-heavy machinery and engineering vehicles exhibition areas.

When entering the expo, a number of digital and intelligent core technologies such as unmanned intelligent cranes, 5G remote control equipment, and intelligent anti-sway systems have become the focus of attention of the exhibitors.
As a county-level city in the central province of Henan, why can Changyuan gather such intensive lifting industry resources?
Relevant data provides the answer.
At present, Changyuan has more than 1,200 complete cranes and supporting companies. The lifting products cover 17 series and more than 200 varieties such as gantry cranes. Its domestic market share exceeds 70% and is exported to more than 170 countries and regions around the world. It has become the lifting equipment manufacturing base with the largest industrial scale, the highest degree of agglomeration and the most complete industrial chain in the country.

The venue of the 11th China Changyuan International Lifting Equipment Expo

He Yingkun, director of the Industrial Culture Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said in his speech, “Chinese cranes can lift multiple goods, and Chinese manufacturing can carry multiple missions.” Lifting equipment, as a key category in equipment manufacturing, is in a critical window period for transformation and upgrading, quality improvement and efficiency improvement as the wave of digitalization and intelligence sweeps the world.
Jing Xiaobo, vice president of the China Heavy Machinery Industry Association, also pointed out that lifting equipment is not only a traditional advantageous industry, but also an important carrier for cultivating new productivity. He hopes that the lifting equipment industry will reshape the industrial momentum with digital intelligence and seize the opportunity of “artificial intelligence +” action. At the same time, it will deeply explore the green and low-carbon track, adhere to openness and win-win, and fully demonstrate the responsibility and strength of China’s intelligent manufacturing in the joint construction of the “Belt and Road” initiative and global industrial chain cooperation.

This expo lasts for three days. In addition to exciting theme activities, it will also hold the “Lifting China” lifting culture series activities in the capital of lifting machinery, the High-Quality Development Seminar of China’s Crane Industry Clusters (2026), etc. It is believed that these activities will inject new vitality into the future development of the lifting equipment industry.
