On December 16th, to support the standardized development of the Shunde furniture industry and expand compliant exports, the Shunde Furniture Association, in conjunction with the Foshan Customs Office in Shunde, Foshan Electronic Port, Foshan Comprehensive Bonded Zone Administration, Shunde New Port, and Longjiang Town Enterprise Service Center, meticulously organized a “Furniture Export Policy and Practical Training” event. The training attracted 140 representatives from nearly 100 enterprises in Shunde District. The training was hosted by Huang Ziqi, Secretary-General of the Shunde Furniture Association. Experts from customs, ports, bonded zones, and border crossings were invited to provide authoritative interpretations of the latest policies and practical cases. The content was practical and precise, directly addressing the pain points of going global and providing new ideas for enterprises to expand their export markets. At the training session, Tan Minxiong from Shunde New Port detailed the advantages of Shunde New Port and its preferential policies for local furniture companies. Located in Xitan, Shunde, Shunde New Port is the first inland river port jointly built by China Merchants Port Group and Guangdong Shunde Holdings Group. It is the largest river-sea intermodal foreign trade feeder port on the west bank of the Pearl River and the leading industrial port in Guangdong Province. It boasts advantages such as integrated domestic and foreign trade, direct foreign trade shipping, paperless document processing, automated gates, “one-stop” customs clearance, “one-stop” document processing and cargo release, online order placement for container pickup and return, and rapid inspection and release of empty containers. Through technologies such as blockchain, big data, and artificial intelligence, the port has achieved interconnection and mutual recognition between the two ports, realizing the “two ports in one” model between Shenzhen Shekou Port and Shunde New Port. This allows for “one declaration, one inspection, and one release” between the two ports, offering multiple advantages such as “convenient procedures, hassle-free customs clearance, lower costs, and higher efficiency.” Liang Yonghua from the Foshan Comprehensive Bonded Zone Administration provided an in-depth interpretation of the policies of the Foshan Comprehensive Bonded Zone. The bonded zone boasts five key functions, catering to carefully selected industries. In processing and manufacturing, it leverages bonded policies to conduct high-end processing/assembly, reducing material costs and achieving efficient supply chain collaboration and flexible verification. For sales and services, it provides bonded exhibitions and domestic/international distribution, enabling rapid market response and helping companies expand into both domestic and international markets. In logistics and distribution, bonded warehousing combined with multimodal transport facilitates global cargo distribution, shortening supply chain cycles and reducing logistics costs. For R&D and design, it benefits from bonded R&D material policies, reducing innovation costs and accelerating the transformation of research results into industrial applications. For testing and repair, it offers bonded testing and repair services, reducing maintenance costs and increasing product reusability and efficiency. Furthermore, the bonded zone provides enhanced services, ensuring a smooth and worry-free establishment.
