Cross-border trade facilitation has been upgraded again! This measure is effectively promoting the steady growth and quality improvement of my country’s foreign trade. On January 15, the General Administration of Customs announced a new batch of 25 cross-border trade facilitation measures to be replicated and promoted nationwide. These include supporting the development of the “Air Silk Road,” continuing to optimize the inspection and supervision model for exported lithium batteries, and promoting convenient customs clearance for imported “food and medicine homology” goods. These measures will release stronger momentum for promoting the steady growth and quality improvement of my country’s foreign trade and creating new advantages for opening up to the outside world.

Latest data shows that my country’s foreign trade performance in 2025 was remarkable. my country’s total import and export volume reached 45.47 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.8%, with growth achieved in imports and exports with more than 190 countries and regions.
</ … Among them, exports of high-tech products and "new three essential products" increased by 13.2% and 27.1% respectively, with over 780,000 business entities having import and export records. These figures fully demonstrate the strong vitality and resilience of my country's foreign trade. High-quality development of foreign trade cannot be separated from the continuous improvement of trade facilitation. Since 2018, the General Administration of Customs, together with relevant departments, has organized special actions to promote cross-border trade facilitation every year. As of 2024, a total of 115 facilitation measures have been introduced. These special actions have helped boost market confidence, promote cost reduction and efficiency improvement for enterprises, and thus continuously improve China's business environment.

Taking the container terminal of Lianyungang Port in Jiangsu Province as an example, the foreign trade loading and unloading area photographed on January 14th presents a bustling scene, with numerous goods being loaded, unloaded, and transshipped, reflecting the vigorous development of my country’s foreign trade. Similarly, at Yantai Port in Shandong Province, a large number of domestically produced automobiles gathered on January 14th, awaiting loading for export, another vivid portrayal of my country’s foreign trade exports.
At the 11th China (Shanghai) International Technology Import and Export Fair held in Shanghai on June 11, 2025, staff watched a collaborative robot demonstrating battery packaging and wiring testing, reflecting the innovative development of my country’s high-tech products and adding new impetus to foreign trade exports.
Now, the “combination punch” of foreign trade facilitation policies will further release dividends.
These new cross-border trade facilitation measures will help enterprises better participate in international market competition, reduce operating costs, and improve efficiency. At the same time, they will attract more international resources and markets, creating more favorable conditions for my country’s foreign trade development. Looking ahead, these policies will help my country achieve a good start to the 15th Five-Year Plan, promote greater achievements in my country’s foreign trade in the global market, and enable Chinese goods to better reach the world.
